I found that the standard version did lack some of the amps that I needed, especially when you download presets from ToneCloud. The Professional version has 60 different amp models and the standard version has 30. In total, Bias FX 2 has 100 amp models if you opt for their elite version. I have been using Bias FX for years and Bias FX 2 really takes it to the next level in terms of the number of amp models and the overall quality of them. Quite possibly the most important feature in this Bias FX 2 review is the different amp models.ДЄfter all, you canвЂ™t have a good amp modeling plugin without good amp models. There are an incredible amount of options to choose from, most of them being practical, while others are just simply for fun. Well, I think itвЂ™s about time we get into the meat of this Bias FX 2 the features.Д«ias FX 2 is probably one of the most feature-rich amp modeling plugins IвЂ™ve ever used. YouвЂ™ll feel right at home, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. If youвЂ™re a guitar player with an actual rig, then transitioning to Bias FX is seamless. I was easily able to find the ones I needed because they are categorized properly.ДЄll in all, I think Bias FX 2 does a great job of emulating how a guitar rig functions. You can move them around in the signal chain simply by dragging and dropping then.ДЄlso, the layout of all the different pedals and amps is neat and organized, which is important since there are literally hundreds of them. I love the way your whole signal chain is laid out in front of you.ДЄll of the different amps, effects pedals, and cabs are all drag and drop elements. It has a stunning design that is intuitive and easy to navigate. I can honestly say that the UI was one of the main reasons I decided to get Bias FX 2 in the first place.

Since the design and user interface is actually how youвЂ™ll be interacting with the software and dialing in your tones, itвЂ™s important to have something that is intuitive and more importantly, fun to use. Next up in the Bias FX 2 review is the overall user interface. So, letвЂ™s get into the actual setup process. The main reason IвЂ™ve used Bias FX for all of these years is simply because of how easy it is to get set up on all of my devices at the same time. This is something that is often overlooked when reviewing amp modeling software, but I think itвЂ™s important to have software that is accessible, easy to set up, and compatible with a wide range of equipment.ДЄfter all, if the software is a pain in the butt to set up and requires high-end equipment to use, then it detracts from the overall accessibility and experience.

However, as you upgrade to the higher tiers, youвЂ™ll have access to more amp models, effects pedals, cabs and impulse responses, racks and more. In terms of sound quality and features, all 3 tier are mostly identical. There are 3 main pricing tiers Standard, Professional, and Elite. For sure a lot of it is me being bad at it but I struggle a lot less with an amp & a pedal than the same in the app.So the start of this Bias FX 2 review letвЂ™s discuss the general pricing structure. Clean and slightly distorted sounds I find super nice but I really struggle to get even a decently clean tone when it comes to high distortion. To wrap this up I still want to address the sound issue. Window and options are a bit 'clunky' but its a super cable software and once you get past those it is very easy to use day to day. The interface once you're stting up the pedals etc is super nice and easy to use but I dont like that to me it feels a bit like an app ported ot PC.

I still think you'd probably be better off with a decent amp + a few medals if you know what sound you want - but if you want a ton of creative sounds with pretty good quality in a few clicks thats a great product.

For a beginner its just amazing as a platform to have fun with a ton of sounds & amps. Having said that for the base price of the tool paired with a basic audio interface its unbeatable value. Disclaimer: im a super basic user so sound quality can very much be down to me being bad & my equipment not being pro.
